Ask a Bitch!

Where I answer your questions about love, dating and tricky relationship situations (questions in bold):

Dear BossyMoksie, I need to lose about 60 pounds for my health. I have high blood pressure and high risk for a heart attack. I’ve been trying to lose this weight for years and years. I had Gastric Bypass Surgery a few years ago. But the weight came back. My friend gave me the name of her personal trainer and she lost 20 pounds with him in the last 5 months. The problem is that my husband doesn’t want me to do it. He is very OLD SCHOOL and doesn’t want me to spend loads of time with another man alone. I told him he could watch the sessions or join us on the training session, but he doesn’t have a weight problem and doesn’t want to do it. My friend says I should do it anyway. How can I make him more comfortable about this and avoid future fights? I really need to get this weight off.

This guy doesn’t have a problem with you having a heart attack and being dead I see. Well then, he’s a keeper.

FUCK him and get you’re workout on. Its your life, your body, your health. He probably doesn’t want you to get thin and confident and leave his OLD SCHOOL, sorry ass. I hope that’s exactly what you do.

If you want my bitchy advice, please ask away in the comments section or email me at bossymoksie@gmail.com. I will answer in a future blog post.

If you don’t want my bitchy advice, you might get it anyway.

  • Harsh but yes, that’s very controlling even for somebody who is “old school”. Why don’t they join a gym together? That way he can beat back all of them men he presumes are going to be quivering in uncontrollable lust at her very presence.

  • You’ve become a health advisor also. Damn girl, yourw graduating fast into many fields. But I agree, she should do her thing instead of waiting around and delay such a crucial thing.

  • Agree screw the husband, he should care more about her health.

But she clearly cares about her husband and wants him to be comfortable with the idea, by the sound of it seems like they are been long time together. As alternative why not find female trainer or find trainer from gym with whom you can train in public place rather than personal trainer.

Age and health situation obviously matters in those matters, but 5 month 20lb, it is a horrible results, it is like 0.8lb a week, with proper diet and exercise person should be able to shred comfortably 2-4lb and do it in a healthy way.

    • Good suggestion, that is if he’s threatened by the male trainer and not the lost weight.

I thought 2 pounds was the most you could lose in a week, healthfully? I’ve asked around! (Always on the look out for that diet/exercise routine where you can lose 5 pounds in a week, jic)

20 pounds in that amount of time isn’t that impressive but it’s something. They are probably not being hardcore about the weight loss.

  • Dealing with simps has really become a life or death situation. Her husband rather her stay out of shape and potentially die, than have her upgrade her situation. I think this is a chargeable offense. She should leave this guy immediately and get her health in order. I can only imagine what other crazy things he tells her.

  • Agreed! She should keep pressing towards her goal. There is an insecurity in her husband that makes h want her to stay that way.
